We are an association dedicated to the promotion of the Quarter Horse breed. Our purpose is to foster and spread interest in Quarter Horses, and to educate its members in riding, breeding, raising, training, and showing Quarter Horses in America.
While our association is headquartered in northern Illinois, we have members in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Michigan.

Clarification and correction:
Fence classes were mistakenly listed in the point count. LLQHA only gives year end awards for classes that are on the showbill at shows they actually run. since classes such as fence classes and pleasure driving were not on those showbills for 2013, awards are not given in those areas. Also, as a reminder, a minimun of 10 points must be earned in a category to receive a year end award.
At the general membership meeting, it was decided not to include the 2013 February and November shows in the point count for year end awards.
